AMOA Pods

Artist, Kate Catteral came to us with a concept drawing of these pods to be fabricated for a children's exhibit at the AMOA Museum in Austin, Texas.
From these drawings, we designed the final pods in our Rhino 3D modeling program (top photo).
From Rhino, we milled out the parts of the pods in EPS.
The next step was to assemble the various pieces and finish the styrofoam.
Finally, we sprayed the pods with a highly durable Polyurea hard-coat and painted them with sign enamel.
