AMOA Pods Digital Sculptural Enlargement

These architectural information pods were designed and fabricated for artist, Kate Catterall, for a children's exhibit at the AMOA Art Museum in Austin, Texas.
Based on Kate Catterall's conceptual drawings Blue Genie Art rendered the design in Rhino (our 3D modeling program), and then milled out the pieces on our CNC router.
After that, we assembled the pieces, sanded the surfaces, sprayed it with our Polyurea hard-coat, and finally painted it using color swatches provided by the the artist.
