The online application for the annual Blue Genie Art Bazaar is a simple 3-step process:
Fill out and submit the application form.
Upload photos of your work (digital image files).
Pay the application fee.
Everything you need is on this page, and we will guide you through each step.
If any component of the online application malfunctions, or you prefer to not make an online application, there are alternatives.
[ Step 1 ] Fill out and submit the application
Your application should be completely filled out. The application form provides us with the basic information that we need to know about you and your work. You definitely need to fill in at least those items marked with a red asterisk (*), as failing to do so may result in your application being ignored.
Please give us your COMPLETE MAILING ADDRESS; we cannot mail you a check without this. We prefer to conduct most communication via email and our website. It is very important that you provide us with a working email address that you check often in order to receive timely show updates and other important information.
In providing us your personal information we pledge not to abuse your trust. You may review our Privacy Policy, but basically we only use your information to contact you about issues concerning the Art Bazaar. We do not make any of your information available to other parties without first obtaining your explicit permission.
Fill in the following form, and when you are ready, press the "Send Form" button. Depending on the speed of your connection and the server load, it might take a few moments to process the form — so be patient and please resist the impulse to press the " Send Form" button again. In due time, after the form is sent, you will be directed to a "Thanks for your application" page. Click on the prominent "Click here to return to the Art Bazaar Application page to continue your application" link and we will then proceed to Step 2.
[ Step 2 ] Upload photos of your work (digital image files)
You may use our file uploader to send us up to 10 images that represent your work. Please try to limit the file size of any single image to 100kb or less (the file uploader will not allow files of excessive size). The preferred file format is JPG, however we can accept JPG, GIF, and PNG files.
You should upload your image files to a subdirectory that you create. This subdirectory will contain only your image files. It is important that you name this subdirectory with either your name (first and last name as filled in on the application form) or with your business name (again, as filled in on the application form) to ensure that we correctly match images to applicant. Simply type the name of your subdirectory in the box next to "New subdirectory? Name:".
Use the "Add another file?" link (located immediately under the file upload box) to create the number of file upload boxes that you require for the number of image files that you intend to upload. Just keep clicking on the link until you have created all of the file upload boxes that you need (up to 10).
Please note that the file upload process will be performed in one batch file operation, so be sure to fill in all of the upload boxes with the files you intend to upload before clicking on the "Begin Upload" button. You may use the "Browse" button located next to each upload box to navigate through your computer to locate each file you wish to upload.
Fill in each upload box with a file you wish to upload, and when all of your files are entered then click the "Begin Upload" button to upload the files.

There is a non-refundable $30.00 application fee that must be received with your application. Note that your application will not be considered until this fee is paid.
You may pay this fee online using the PayPal "Add to Cart" button found below. PayPal is our payment processor and is a well-respected name in online payment — you can trust their security measures. PayPal allows payments using any major credit card (you do NOT need to establish a PayPal account).

That's it! If you have performed the three steps described above, then your application has been sent, you've uploaded some photos for us to look at, and you've paid the application fee.
You will receive an email confirming our receipt of your application, and if you have paid the application fee, we will begin review of your application materials. If we have any questions about your application we will contact you. And if you have any questions about the Art Bazaar not answered on our website, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Alternatives to the online application
Realizing that any component of the online application process could malfunction or fail, or that an applicant might be uncomfortable with an online process, we should mention that each component of a complete Art Bazaar application has an alternative:
If the file uploader application fails, send the image files (following the same image restrictions and instructions) as attachments to an email sent to . Please include clear identification of your image files in the body of the email. (We also accept examples of work by mail as prints or on CD. Include a SASE if you want materials returned.)
If the PayPal application fails, send check or money order via mail, or hand deliver.
