This 8' tall black-eyed pea was made for The Butler Brothers advertising company for a first year event celebrating the New Year in Austin, Texas, called "First Night".
The Butler Brothers submitted this concept to the
City of Austin First Night judges to be picked out of hundreds of entries.
The City of Austin chose the concept and the Butler Brothers
decided upon Blue Genie Art to make this very lucky New Year's photo
opportunity.
