To The Moon Exhibit

|
We created several items for The Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum's exhibit, To the Moon.
The museum went all out for the 40th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing, and we were proud to be a part of creating the exhibit.
Firstly, we made the space mural with the lunar module, the moon scape with craters and footprints, and the laser ranging retro reflector, for the two astronauts and the flag they already had in their collection.
We used eyewitness accounts from astronauts on the color of the moon scape, and the starless sky.
We also recreated the 1926 Goddard rocket which was the first liquid fueled rocket to achieve flight.
In the photo you can see it in the display of Goddard's workshop the museum provided.
We also fabricated the nose cone attached to a simulator for the Glamorous Glennis, the first airplane to break the sound barrier.
Lastly, we did the museums splash panel for the exhibit.
This was a recreation of the Airstream trailer the Apollo 11 astronauts were quarantined in after they returned from the moon.
